This 2-Hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness course educates workers on the dangers of drug and alcohol use in the workplace and promotes responsible behavior to maintain a safe and productive jobsite. It is required by the NYC Department of Buildings as part of Site Safety Training (SST) under Local Law 196 and covers impairment recognition, employer policies, legal responsibilities, and the impact of substance abuse on safety and performance. Approved by the New York City Department of Buildings (DOB), this course provides Site Safety Training (SST) credits that can be applied toward a full SST card and focuses on the effects of drug and alcohol use on the human body and mind, especially in the construction environment.

Required by the NYC Department of Buildings under Local Law 196 and approved as part of the Site Safety Training (SST) program.

Workplace Safety & Responsibility

Covers impairment recognition, employer policies, legal responsibilities, and the impact of substance abuse on jobsite safety and performance.
